This year, we’re expanding our Giving Tuesday efforts into a 12-day campaign! With Nest Academy RVA growing in members and adding full-time staff, we’re more determined than ever to meet the needs of our thriving community. Each day of giving highlights a unique aspect of our program that empowers, nurtures, and enriches the lives of our members. We invite you to be a part of these big plans by making a targeted gift to support our impactful initiatives.

Adaptive Adventure
Community outings to local attractions, museums, and adaptive wellness activities, where our members engage in inclusive experiences like adapted rock climbing and more.
Thriving Together
Class sessions where members participate in music and art therapy, STEM activities, community service projects, and other socially engaging experiences.
Community
We do more than just support our members; we actively engage with our community through service projects, participation in local markets, and resource events.

"Nest Academy RVA has been Neil’s daily ‘home away from home’ for about two years, and it’s been a game-changer for both of us. Neil is a funny, chill 22-year-old man with Down syndrome and autism who needs significant help with daily activities. Like other Nest members, he aged out of school-based programs, but traditional day support was not equipped to meet his complex needs. Nest changed everything. Here, Neil finds the friendships, growth, and structure that bring him joy. We’ve experienced the community and connection Nest fosters – so much so that I’ve joined the Board to help support its growth."
